The 2024 Notice of Changed Assessment has been received via mail. There has been some changes/increases this year. Please take notice that on May 8th, 2023, the Town of Frankfort enacted Ordinance 20230508-A - WIND ENERGY FACILITY LICENSING ORDINANCE and Ordinance 20230508-B - CITATION ORDINANCE. The Wisconsin State Constitution legally obligates government officials to protect the health, safety, and well-being of their community. The purpose of this Ordinance is to require the operator of a proposed Wind Energy Facility located in the Town of Frankfort to obtain a license from the Town prior to beginning construction activities in order to protect public health and safety, to minimize or prevent potential adverse off-site impacts from on-site and off-site operations, and to promote the general welfare of the people and communities within the Town of Frankfort. The Citation Ordinance provides for penalties, including but not limited to forfeitures of $500 to $5,000 per day, plus current court costs, for any violations of the Wind Energy Facility Licensing Ordinance.
